I’ve waited my whole life to see the world from out there.
I went to visit my college roommate and her family made me go to church with them. They have these little prayer cards that you can fill out, so I filled one out, anonymously, and I said that I wanted the church to pray for the continued health of George Martin, that he may fulfill the tasks he has committed himself to.
I didn’t know that they collected them and read them aloud during the service. The minister read it aloud and then said, “Would the church member who made this request like to stand and tell us more about George, so that we can be more direct in our prayers?”
I almost died. I thought Jesus was going to jump off the cross and chase me out.
